Faithtime
First Lutheran offers a variety of adult education opportunities during Wednesday Night Faithtime.
First Book Club will gather on the second Wednesday of each month from 5:30-6:30 p.m. in Sunday School
Room 5—Cool Creations on second floor. On Wednesday, February 8 the discussion will focus on the content
of the book Michal and faith response to author Jill Eileen Smith. Linda Storm is the facilitator of this group
and you’re welcome to join the group at any time. A listing of the 2011-12 book titles and authors
can be viewed at the below link.
March’s book title will be Peace Like a River by Leif Enger. A young asthmatic boy named Reuben
Land narrates the story of his family after his brother kills two bullies who had targeted them. His
brother Davy is convicted of manslaughter and sentenced to prison. His brother escapes from prison
and heads for the Badlands in North Dakota. Reuben and his family then go on the road in search of
the brother, and along the way, they learn the ways of God. Purchase your copy today and begin
