Youth First
All First Lutheran Youth and their friends are invited to come on Wednesday evenings (September-May) for a Large Group Bible Study from 6-7:30 p.m. in the youth room on third floor. Join us right after school at 4 p.m.
to hang out, play games and socialize in a supervised environment. An inexpensive meal is served at Faithtime between 5-6:15 p.m. in the Fellowship Room. If you have any questions, please contact Tim Oloffson, Director

Operation S.A.S (Save a Sister)
Once again the Sr. High youth will be collecting change to support their global outreach for an at-risk teen. Over the weekend of February 25 & 26, the youth will have coin cups available in the Fellowship Room for you to take home and fill throughout the Lenten season. Operation S.A.S. (Save a Sister) was established to raise funds to help with the educational needs of an orphan girl in Romania. So, please pick up a cup and “change” a teen’s life.
Save the Date — “Youth Auction”
The 2012 Youth Auction will be taking place on Sunday, February 19
at 11 a.m. This is also Transfiguration Sunday for the church.
2012 ELCA National Youth Gathering Update
Twenty-one youth and six adults signed up and will be headed to New Orleans next summer for the “Citizens with the Saints” ELCA National Youth Gathering. With the core practices of Discipleship,Peacemaking, and Justice as the theme, plenty of opportunities for spiritual maturity will be offered. Also, it is not too late for any other youth (8th–12th graders) to sign up. As of January two spots were still available. College Scholarship Offer
Beta Sigma Psi Lutheran Alumni from the University of Illinois is now offering a $1,000 scholarship for a male entering the University of Illinois in the fall of 2012.
