Confirmation First

First's Confirmation program for youth in grades 7 and 8 is an exciting experience of Christian development, social interaction and service learning in our community. Join us on Wednesdays (September-May) from 5:30-7:30 p.m.

• 5:30 p.m. Gather at the north end of the Fellowship Room (by the cross) for announcements and games
• 6-6:25 p.m. Large group lesson
• 6:30-7:30 p.m. Small group discussion led by dedicated adult mentors

 

At regular times throughout the year the students also engage in service projects and social events. Friends are always welcome to attend, and you do not have to be a member of First in order to participate in our confirmation activities.

This month we will be transitioning from the Faithtime schedule to the Lenten season. As in previous years,
we will go to worship and discuss the sermon afterwards. Here’s an outline of the February schedule:

February 1 — "Wingo" (Social night of wings and bingo!)

February 8 — The Transfiguration

February 15 — The Good Samaritan

        Febraury 22 — Ash Wednesday Service followed by small group sermon discussion

Febraury 29 — Lenten Service followed by small group sermon discussion

• Mark your calendar on March 30 for our Lenten Lock-in! Parents—please consider volunteering your time to
